Description
Recessive Jeans is a rebatch soap with dominant notes of lemongrass, and recessive notes of mulberry and musk. This rebatch was born from the bits and pieces and ends and cured leftover batter from several other batches. It's always surprising to me when a jumble of fragrances and colors turns into something lovely! You never know which traits will be prominent and which will be subdued.
Don't get me wrong, this needed a little love along the way, and a guide toward a less gray color, but I ended up with what I thought was a nice 80's shade of denim. It's also got a fresh addition of lemongrass fragrance, BUT there is still a hint of the mulberry and musk aromas from its former life.
To top off the air of 80's jeans, I tossed some glitter and a sprinkle of decorative pink Himalayan salt on the top.
The main ingredients in this soap are olive oil, soybean oil, coconut oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, organic shea butter, water, sodium hydroxide, pink Himalayan salt, fragrance, and mica.
The approximate net weight of these bars is 4oz. As these soaps are hand-poured, you should expect some variance in the size, texture, and appearance of each bar.
Rebatch? What's A Rebatch?
What is a rebatch soap, you ask? Rebatch soap is cold-processed soap that has been given a new life. Sometimes the original batch is a slightly different color or scent than expected. Sometimes we rebatch on purpose because the texture and rustic appearance is preferred to the original batch. Whatever the reason, we hope you enjoy these rebatched soaps, which are now just right in our opinion!
